there are ... so many things wrong with Slack it's hard to know where to start, but I'll try anyway: why is it even possible to type out someone's @ nick without it counting as a mention? what is going on in the mind palace of the people who built this, and how do they misunderstand the concept of usernames so badly?

At one point there was a search bug where if I put “technomancy" in my status field and somebody searched for "technomancy" I might pop up first?
